Android pull up Sonny Ericsson with profit

Sonny Ericsson is one of the most popular Smartphone manufacturers. For the last few years it was not getting financial show off from its Smartphone, but finally Android has done it for Sonny Ericsson. In the result of  Q2 they managed to finally pull a profit and they are thanking Android. Expressly, SE is crediting the Xperia X10 (which is selling large internationally) and the Vivaz for their success (if you could call it that). SE is also betting big on  X10 Mini and X10 Mini Pro , so let’s trust this tendency continues into Q3.  It is pleasant to notice how many wireless companies Android is helping.

Superphone DroidX, Getting Scarce in the Market

Another big triumph from Motorola, two days before DroidX leaked in the market with the banner of Verizon, and the selling was so fast that number of stores claimed that the stock has finished. This Android powered Superphone came in the market with Verizon’s installation, leading to delays of an hour or more before customers can actually use their phones after purchase.

The Droid X was released two days before and most of the store stock has finished, according to Boy Genius. A tweet from the official Verizon Wireless account stated that activation delays are currently plaguing not just Droid X buyers; those buying other phones on the network are similarly stymied, as well.

Hope you have got the Droid x Superphone, after getting it at your hand what is your first impression? Please don’t forget to tell it here!!!!!!!!

HTC, RIM and Nokia Challenge Apple’s Antenna Claims

Last Friday, Apples claimed at a press conference that all handsets available in the market have antenna problems like apple iPhone4, but against this statement three world class handset makers- HTC, RIM and Nokia have challenged against the claim. Apple used as an example the RIM BlackBerry Bold 9700, saying that holding it a certain way will cause signal degradation just as with the iPhone 4, but RIM’s Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis were quoted by CrackBerry from the following announcement: Apple’s attempt to draw RIM into Apple’s self-made debacle is undesirable. Apple’s claims about RIM products come into view to be deliberate attempts to distort the public’s understanding of an antenna.

Nokia stated that it possessed the pioneer on internal technology, and never faced this kind of problem but Apple is just playing the blame game over the entire smartphones for its faulty design.

Scientist finds the color red increases battery life

Hello friends! If you have Nexus One or any other Google android phone with OLED display, then something very interesting waiting for you from Jeff Sharkey!!!

Jeff Sharkey, software engineer from Google has leaked that dark color pixels display can increase your mobile’s batter power because dark colors use comparatively less charge from your mobile battery.

He also told that power use by blue pixels is twice the red pixels do, and green pixels use about one and half times than that of red pixels.

The test has conducted on Nexus One. He proved that if you power your Nexus one with red pixels, you can save a little power, and as much as twice the normal.

In conclusion, he added that red pixel is the best to save power as it draws the least, on the contrary blue pixels consumes the highest amount  of battery charge. If you are interested, read more about the article………..

Eric Schmidt says Nexus one was a success

Google Chairman and CEO Eric Schmidt stated– “Despite reportedly lackluster sales, Google’s HTC-built Android handset, the Nexus One, still has one big fan”
In an interview Schmidt told with U.K based newspaper Telegraph that they wanted to give a breakthrough in the Smartphone market. They made Nexus One with HTC based on Google android operating systems and the result was very successful. He also stated that they do not need to create second one to capture the market as their first one is still hot cake to millions of Smartphone users. “It was so successful, we didn’t have to do a second one,” Schmidt said. “We would view that as positive but people criticized us heavily for that.”
He also stated that they are not going to release their chrome OS, initially for netbooks platform with any partnership because the Netbooks industry doesn’t need to be jumpstarted the way the mobile phone market did. “The PC industry is used to working with Microsoft, whereas the mobile industry was not used to working with software.”
Google wanted to change their sale strategy direct to consumer in January and also promised to reshape users Smartphone perception and fundamentality to change the Smartphone purchase process–a marketing process that concerned bypassing the operator altogether and challenging Google’s own Android licensee handset vendors in the market.
However, they did not able to implement their strategy against the opposition of carriers and finally Google stopped selling the Nexus One via their website and closed the direct to consumer effort.
